Graduate from Our Lady of the Lake University with an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and currently a member of the American Counseling Association. I hold a position as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Brooke Bonnema, LPCS. Specializations include ADHD, parents of children with ADHD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management, and trauma. EMDR will be offered starting in Feb 2025. My approach is customized to meet the unique needs of each client, emphasizing the significance of discovering effective strategies that meet the individuals’ specific needs.
My goal is to empower clients with skills, knowledge, and training while offering a safe space for introspection that will lead to lasting positive changes. Listening to my clients and understanding their goals is an important part of the therapeutic relationship. One of the techniques I use involves exploring attachment to help individuals understand their experiences and cultivate self-acceptance and compassion, which can drive change. Other methods used include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Approach, Somatic Approach, and Mindfulness based approaches. EMDR will be offered in Feb 2025.
